Mom and Dad and I played a lot today. Mom and I were at Sunnyside park in the morning. We met a lot of other cute babies. Then Dad came to pick us up. I had a choice of spaghetti sauce and chicken noodle soup for lunch. I had a bite of both. In the afternoon I helped Mom swifter. Once I got hold of it I would not let go of it for about an hour. I was a big help : )
I also tried watermelon - so chewyly delicious : )
The highlight of the day was French storytime with Cecile at Kits beach. Lou and Teni organized it and it was awesome. Everything about it - Cecile, the French, the books, Lou, the beach, and the ocean. Mom and I found an easy way to get there and we are looking forward to going again : ))
Today I slept in. I did not get up until 7am but it turned out to be a bad thing. The whole schedule that Mom and I were working on was thrown in the air by it. Mom was nervous about a meeting in the afternoon at her work and forgot to take any pictures. Who knows what we did. I only know that in the afternoon Dad and I had a good time. Right, Daddy : )
I am going from long-term memory here... Mom and I went to Hillcrest's Terry Salman Library for the last story time of the season. It was pretty cool as usual. I think that I will learn to sing the songs before Mom does. She tried Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on me the other day and the words did not rhyme at all : ) It's ok. She learned this other song: Eyes, Nose, Cheeky-Cheek, Chin and I love when she shows them to me while "singing". Then we borrowed some CDs with babies' favorites and we listened to Cars, Trucks And Trains in the car on the way back. But before we did that we explored the center some and it turns out that they have this gorgeous inside-and-outside pool with tons of things to do. I bet it will be one of my favorites next year. Mom can't wait : )) I had my afternoon nap in the car. Then I don't remember...
Wait, I think we went to Trout Lake to meet with Miles but we could not find them. We went all around the lake and saw few kids swimming and a baby. Mom wants us to go, too. On the other side of the lake where all the dogs play, we sat and had dinner. It was super cool!
Cruising : ) There is so many places to explore at home. One of my favorites at the moment is under my Dad's desk. Do you see the fence gates on the picture [thanks aunt Sheryl I am sure to find some good use for them : )]? Imagine that my parents are thinking of blocking certain access to certain favorite underdesk for me. Because of the cords... Offf, life : ) I try to keep them distracted so that they forget to do it and I have been quite successful : )
Today Mom took me to the baby group and we learned about childcare options. The fun part was that Teni and Lou and a bunch of other friends were there. I am not on any waiting list. I wonder what that means...
Mom, played with me before bed and then left me. I cried for half and hour and then fell asleep. I did not wake up until after midnight. Woke up with a smile the next day : ))
I played all morning in the park. Summer has been awesome here. Mom got me a full body swimming suite to prevent the sun for burning me and I can't wait to put it on. The thing is... it may be a little to big for me; I may have to wait for a year. Be it.
In the afternoon, Mom and I went to Scott and Vanessa's baby shower. Lou, Teni, and Xavier were also there. It was busy but I managed to grab a nap just after I climbed the porch stairs for the 20th time and played ball with couple of the guys : ) I am a good kick. And a good climber: Mom was not paying attention to me for a minute and I managed to climb to the third stair all by myself using all I've got - hands, knees... : ) I was very proud. But I am not telling whether I dreamt about it.
The night was tough though - it went something like 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am, 3:30am, 4:20am, 4:40am, 5am, 5:20am - raise and shine...
Flora sang me some songs today. And we played in a tunnel.
I missed French story time with Lou : ( because I missed nap time in the afternoon. On the upside, we have a new front door. It is very curious - different color and all. It will be a fun project for when I am older to paint it white on the inside to match the rest.
