Today is Ava's first birthday! Hooray! Happy Birthday, Ava. I hope you had an awesome day. Ava is going to celebrate next Sunday. Guess who has a birthday himself then : )) I may not be able to join her then. I'll be in Coquitlam eating cake with Erik ; )
It's fall. Rain splashes everywhere. I went to school in the morning. Learned about the healthy eater... I also met Aya there. Hehe, it is good to have buddies. Later Mom and Dad took me for coffee and I had some [water] from a genuine coffee cup. So cool. Just like Daddy! Then we walked - all three of us - but I giggled the most. We headed for the swings. And made it just before the rain started again. So we ended up home and Mom and Dad were wet ; ))
So I was about to go to bed tonight when I discovered I can jump!!! Like a frog : )) Such a cool feature! Something bothered me and I did not go down easy. I don't know whether Mom was too happy about it. I think she wanted to fall asleep before me. Next time : )
Mom and Dad took me to buy a pillow. They almost got a blanket for me - wool and all - but it was crib size and it would not work for me. I like rolling. Who figures that crib size is a good idea - it is for babies that you put down in one position, they gladly fall asleep in it, and stay in it for the rest of the night. Mom says she has yet to meet such a fellow.
We skipped the afternoon walk and I ended up reading books by myself for about 20 minutes : )) Cool, eh?
When was time for bed, Mom taught me the eskimo kiss - with the noses. It is the funniest, most adorable thing on the planet. I could not stop being happy. Mom and Dad laughed a lot, too : ) Daddy wants me to do an eskimo kiss with him... I am thinking about it.
But the night was not so good. Mom woke me up when she came to bed on purpose : ( And then there was the 1-2 o'clock and 4:20-... o'clock. Dad was up at 4:30. We compete : S
There is so much to report and I may be getting the days mixed up but let me tell you about the socks. They come in pairs and go on your feets ; ) I also remind Mom to put them on and even help doing so - the only thing is that I always offer my right leg. Mom gets silly sometimes and puts them on her feet... I helped with laundry today and there were all sorts of socks in there... and I was driven in a basket ; ) And I try to fit the puzzle pieces - that's the sun piece from one of the puzzles that I can actually do : )
We went down to Grandview park... So much rain and so much fun on the swings. But we all had our rain gear! : ) Let it pour : ))
Have I told you that Mom has stopped nursing me at night. The rule is nothing but water until 5am. Now when I get up during the night there is nothing to do... But I still do it. Don't ask me why... I am trying to figure out how to sleep on my own I guess. Wish me luck. Mom needs sleep.
We had a photo shoot with Amir. Tati gave him his antique camera and Amir wanted to say thank you by shooting us on black and white film. Amir has a dark room and he is going to show me one day : )) We already did this once but the settings were not correct and the pictures did not turn ok. It was fun doing it again. The weather was so perfect! We played a lot. I love the swings. There was a tunnel and Mom would surprise me from all sort of angles : )
Mom and Dad had Burritos for lunch from the Bandidas and gave me some too but I was not a fan. In the afternoon, Mom took me to Trout Lake. I fell in the sand and then I ate some of it. But it was awesome. I shared my spade and sticks with Eduard. And I swang in the swing with Mom. Laughing...
Baba left for Toronto today. But i am going to see her in a week. Have a safe trip!
Then Mom took me to the french school, Laura Secourd. There is a grass field and we threw and chased my shoes. I ran more than 10 meters by myself at times. At the end I could barely stand up on my feet.
I was at StrongStart this morning. Fun! And then Mom and Dad bought me a raincoat. Green. Suits me so well!
Who is the luckiest : ))
Oh, I almost forgot. My godfather, Alex, stopped by this afternoon. He has a beard. How weird : ) I was really shy at first. But he was nice and I showed him how I walk before he left. I hope to visit him in Squamish soon!
It was raining in the morning. Then there was rain and sun. Then there was sun. I was out of the house again most of the day. Day care, StrongStart at Queen Alexandra with Debbie, in the morning. With Baba in the afternoon.
