This post is overdue and I am afraid it will not be comprehensive but it is at least an attempt to keep track of our little fast-growing boy.
For the fast few days Max has been so much into his father. It is sweet to see the too of them play ball, dance, hug, read books, and talk. Max is also making friends with kids he meet. He usually approaches them with his ball and wants to play with them. it does not always work and it breaks my heart to realize that my man will indeed face all sorts of people and will have to learn to accept all sorts of reactions. I hope he keeps his integrity and good nature. It wasn't until recently that he learned that sand castles get destroyed. I am probably projecting but I believe he wanted to preserve them as something somebody has put effort into making. It seems that I can go off on many tangents, and happily, but I do not have the time so I will try and stay focused. Max is now able to stack blocks - he usually builds one very very long tower : ) . He can also put together the big "lego" blocks and we have been making chairs to sit on. He can also finish some of the puzzles we have - the ones where you put the pieces back on the board, the ones where you have to fit the pieces into a box based on their shapes, and the ones where you put them together based on an attribute match. It is really fun to play with him. Max also likes to play cards by inspecting them and arranging them all around him. But one of his favourite activity is scooping. We scoop macaroni in the living room, and we scoop sand outside, and we scoop water in the bathroom. He is getting to be really good at it. He is for sure an expert on spoons. Too bad we lost our shovel somewhere and I have not been able to replace it yet. What else - Max can now imitate few animal sounds - the cow, the bee, the lion, the duck. And the train. We like cars and trains and, especially, trucks : )) He also calls Daddy and myself when he needs us. He puts his finger in the mouth when he is hungry, and he taps his stomach when he needs to go to the bathroom (only if it was before the deed is done). He also can say: "cio, cio". As if this is not enough... But do you get it? He is the best little boy out there : )) Good luck! Ilka
