Max drew his first autoportrait today : ) Lots of hair - he told me - and proceeded to draw two big ears and two big chicks : ) It was awesome. ...It was all triggered by a note Tati left us in the morning: <3 U GUYS. Max and I wrote back we love you too and got all creative about it : ) Last but not least, Max signed, all by himself, signed his name on the paper. Off course I am showing off. It has been a great Christmas!
I am postponing writing this post because I am not sure that I will do it justice if I rush it. But here is a summary because I no longer trust me to do things that I delay...
Every Christmas we get the biggest box of presents from Nanny. It pretty much makes Christmas for us. It is full of packets of all sizes wrapped in merry Christmas paper and it fills the room. We always know what is inside - goat soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, chocolates, home made cookies, socks, underwear, shirts, pajamas, and what not. We are always excited and we always open a box at a time and make it last all day. It is a treat! In the past two years there is also something special for Max. He gets spoiled. This year the outfits are great and are already in use and a pair of super cool soft and warm shoes that I can't wait for him to wear in the spring.
I want to say with all my heart THANK YOU!
It has been quite busy here. And on top of everything there is a deadline at work that I have to meet. All important stuff.
Max is due for a hair cut for quite sometime now. We are introducing Mr. Clipper to him and he allows himself to touch the buzzing machine and greet it quietly.
He has been doing all sorts of physical and mental acrobatics.... He is practicing splits, all sorts of yoga poses, finger crossing, jumps, dance moves, running speeds, and you say it. At the same time, colors are no longer ignored. He loves to sing the alphabet song. Max can also tell you that he speaks two languages and that he lives in Canada. We have a miniature globe and I have been trying to point places we come across in our conversations on it.
He has been pretty overwhelmed lately and to my surprise is doing a great job trying to sort himself out during the harder times. He has yet to learn though that the best thing to do when one is tired is to sleep : ) Hope dies last.
